Social Media Manager / Content Creator (On-Camera)
Location: On-site at Forza Italia 247-249 Lygon St, Carlton with occasional community activations across Melbourne

Forza Italia is Australia’s largest Italian megastore. Since 2008, we’ve celebrated Italian culture, pride, and nostalgia through premium products, custom apparel, rare collectables, and a one-of-a-kind retail experience. We’re a home for the Italian community and anyone who loves Italy—calcio, motorsport, food, music, and famiglia.
Role purpose:
Be the on-camera face of Forza Italia across Reels/TikTok/Stories, grow and engage our community, and turn online buzz into real-world engagement and store visits. This is a part-time role with clear scope to grow.
Schedule
- Part-time, flexible schedule with growth for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Appear on camera to present products, launches, staff picks, unboxings, behind-the-scenes, and community moments (with consent).
- Plan, film, edit, and publish 2–3 short-form videos per week (Reels/TikTok) plus Stories on in-store days.
- Write engaging hooks and captions that reflect our brand voice and Italian spirit.
- Assist with managing comments, DMs, reviews, and UGC during rostered hours; flag priority items outside hours.
- Assist with scheduling and posting content (Meta tools/native apps) and maintaining a simple content calendar.
- Assist with in-store activations, creator collaborations, and simple giveaways.
- Assist with partnerships across the Italian community (clubs, schools, cultural associations) and encourage UGC.
- Track basic performance (reach, retention, saves, engagement, store traffic drivers) and share concise insights.
- Capture simple product photos and in-store moments to keep content fresh and authentic.
- Follow filming etiquette, permissions, and customer consent at all times.
About you
- Confident, friendly on-camera presence; comfortable filming in a busy retail environment.
- Passion for all things Italian—culture, calcio, motorsport, food, music, and community.
- Demonstrated experience creating short-form vertical video (please share links).
- Fast, clean mobile editing skills (Reels/TikTok/CapCut); good eye for lighting, audio, and framing.
- Community-minded: timely, thoughtful replies and engagement during rostered hours.
- Organised, reliable, and proactive; able to run a lean content plan on a part-time schedule.
Nice to have
- Canva/Adobe skills for simple graphics and thumbnails.
- Basic paid social and/or influencer outreach experience.
- Familiarity with Melbourne’s Italian community, clubs, and events.
